Italian but born in Madrid, my profile is multicultural and my career path atypical.
Multicultural profile: I lived in six different countries (Rome, New York, Montevideo, Caracas, Tel Aviv and Paris where I live since more than 25 years) and I am fluent in English, French, Spanish and Italian.
Atypical path: in the course of my studies and in the development of my professional career, I followed two different directions: as a psychologist and psychoanalyst I was exposed to a Freudian training in Rome, and in my later life I chose to do a second training at the CG Jung Institute in Zurich where I now train students and candidates. In addition, I also have a long and significant experience in business with relevant management positions for world leading companies. This second professional life allows me to have a deep insight about many of the painful experiences, inner conflicts and traumas that corporate organizations can generate.
After a degree in Clinical Psychology in Rome with a thesis on the History of Italian Psychiatry, I continued my studies for three years at Neuropsichiatria Infantile (with professor Giovanni Bollea) at the time linked to the Tavistock clinic.
The years of training at the CG Jung Institute in Zurich, in the second part of my life, were a significant addition to my first analytical background. As a training analyst at the Institute, I now teach, offer individual analysis online and in Paris, and provide supervision to students and psychotherapists.
In the 80s, I participated in a two years clinical research project for the Italian Ministry of Health, focusing on the psychological relevance of play for children in hospital (under the guidance of prof. Renata Gaddini, a Freudian developmental training psychoanalyst). I wrote –at the time- several developmental psychology articles in an engaged parent’s magazine “Il Giornale dei Genitori.” From September 2017 until December 2023, I created and developed Stillpoint Spaces Paris, exploring psychology in-depth, inside and outside the consulting room, in today’s world.
More recently, I published several articles in French and Italian. Among them, an interview to Prof. Sonu Shamdasani on the Red Book published in Cahiers Junguiens de Psychanalyse, an article on the relevance of Analytical Psychology for Italian Cinema on Enkelados Journal, and another on the founders of Psychoanalysis in Italy in Studi Junghiani.
